Strip missing from top of title page of vol I but no loss of text except for 'B' of Benvenuto. Stamp of 'Pallottine Novitiate, Cabra, Thurles' on top of Preface page, on four pages of text, last page of Index and rear ep. no half-title of ffep. Text clean and bright throughout. Binding tight. Bound in full contemporary tan leather with gilt lettering on black spine label. Spine label rubbed with loss of some letters. Five raised bands on spine. Piece at top and bottom of spine rubbed away (moreso at bottom). Tooled decoration to edges of boards. Corners rubbed. Surface of boards rubbed in a few places with two small holes in leather of front board. Overall condition VG-. |
