Oliver wrote to his brother in Canada a weekly letter concerning the progress of affairs during the war. The result is virtually a journal of the war period and contains the reflections of one of the acutest minds in England during this period. Oliver was associated with members of Lloyd George's War Cabinet. Contains details of a fortnight in France, partly with Sir Hubert Gough during the battle of Passchendaele & a sketch of Earl Haig. Blue cloth boards with red and black lettering on yellow spine label. Narrow strip at bottom of boards and spine sunned. Overall condition VG. In VG- dust wrapper - brown staining at top of back. |
